Pokémon Champions is a battle-focused Pokémon game — no story, no overworld, just ranked queues and Regulation-shifted rulesets. Regulation M-B has been running since spring 2026, and Mega Evolutions dominate the meta. Our tier list scores by Regulation M-B win rate at ranks 2000+.
Build a Mega Rayquaza-anchored team for the highest ceiling — Delta Stream removes Rayquaza's Flying weaknesses and enables Vast Damage swings. If you want budget: Mega Metagross teams are cheaper to build and hold rank at 1600–1900.
How we tier
Score axes: Regulation M-B win rate (2000+ ladder), Mega Evolution ceiling, team synergy, matchup coverage. Usage stats matter — a Pokémon with 45% usage rate at high rank tells you more than raw stats do.

S-tier — decides ladder placement
Mega Rayquaza is the strongest Pokémon in the game. Delta Stream removes Flying's weaknesses; Dragon Ascent hits everything for STAB.
Mega Metagross is a cheaper alternative with better matchup coverage against Ice and Fairy.
Landorus-T is universal — the best Ground-type support in Doubles.
Kyogre and Groudon anchor weather teams — Rain and Sun respectively.
A-tier — role fillers
Amoonguss and Incineroar are the two most-used supports in Doubles ranked.
Rillaboom, Iron Hands, Chien-Pao — the "big three" attackers from Gen 9. All fit into meta teams.
Team frames
- Rain — Kyogre + Amoonguss + Iron Hands + Zapdos.
- Sun — Groudon + Torkoal + Rillaboom + Landorus-T.
- Trick Room — Slow attackers + Amoonguss + Incineroar.
- Hyper Offense — Mega Rayquaza + Chien-Pao + Landorus-T + Amoonguss.
Team-building tools
Pokémon Champions ships with an in-game Damage Calculator and Team Builder. Use them — Doubles math is complex enough that eyeballing damage rolls costs you games.
