Version 4.4 landed July 14, 2026 with the Fate/Star Rail Part 2 collab: Himeko Nova (Fire Erudition), Rin Tohsaka, Gilgamesh, plus reruns for Sparxie, Permansor Terrae, Evernight Cerydra, Anaxa, and Aventurine. Path pairings still anchor the endgame meta — pick your damage dealer, then build the trio behind them.
The strongest new pull is Gilgamesh — he anchors an entirely new Erudition team frame that clears Memory of Chaos Floor 12 in three cycles. If you already have a main DPS, pull the rerun that fits your team: Aventurine for shield-crit comps, Anaxa for Break teams, Sparxie for Fire mono-quantum.
How the tiers work
Every character gets a Path (Destruction, Hunt, Erudition, Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, Abundance, Remembrance) that determines what role they fill. Tiers score four things Memory of Chaos punishes:
- Path fit — how many meta teams she anchors or slots into.
- Damage or utility ceiling — depending on Path.
- Team autonomy — does she need a specific support to work, or does she flex?
- Investment tax — eidolon and Light Cone superimpose floor before she performs.

S-tier — the picks that decide the current MoC
Gilgamesh is the new Erudition ceiling. His kit converts follow-up attacks into AoE bursts on a shorter cooldown than any existing Erudition unit, and his Ultimate benefits Imaginary damage across the party. He works with Ruan Mei, Robin, and any Preservation sustain — a clean modular fit.
Himeko Nova is Himeko's Fire-Erudition alt form and she's the strongest Fire follow-up unit in the game. If your account leans Fire (Firefly, Sparxie, Topaz), she's a straight upgrade to your existing rotation.
Feixiao, Firefly, Acheron, Ruan Mei, Robin are all unchanged from previous versions but remain the meta pillars. Every top MoC clear runs one of them.
Aventurine's rerun matters because he's the only Imaginary sustain in the game — essential for the Fua and follow-up team frames.
A-tier — situational strength
Sparxie and Anaxa are excellent Erudition alternates but they're strictly better inside their preferred team frames (Sparxie for mono-Fire, Anaxa for Break). Pull them if you don't own a mainline Erudition carry yet.
Castorice is a strong Destruction carry, but she needs specific Preservation sustains to work — not the modular fit Gilgamesh brings.
Tribbie is a Remembrance unit that hits ceiling numbers with a specific Quantum team, but she demands two rerun-tier supports to peak. Pull if you own them; skip otherwise.
Team frames worth building
Pick your DPS, then build one of these frames:
- Break DPS (Firefly / Anaxa) — Firefly / Anaxa + Ruan Mei + Trailblazer (Harmony) + Gallagher / Aventurine.
- Follow-up DPS (Feixiao / Topaz / Robin) — Feixiao + Robin + Aventurine + March 7th (Imaginary).
- Nihility burst (Acheron) — Acheron + Pela + Silver Wolf + Aventurine / Fu Xuan.
- Erudition sweep (Gilgamesh / Himeko Nova) — Gilgamesh + Ruan Mei + Robin + Aventurine.
Reroll priority for a new account
New accounts should aim for one S-tier DPS anchor. Reroll targets:
- Gilgamesh (Version 4.4 banner) — Fresh, modular, top of the meta.
- Aventurine (rerun) — Best long-term sustain.
- Ruan Mei (wait for a future rerun) — universal Harmony support.
Skip Sparxie, Anaxa, and the older reruns unless they slot into a team you're already building.
