Version 6.7 "Luna VIII" landed on July 1, 2026 with a new Frost Moon map region and four featured five-stars: Sandrone (Cryo Claymore), Columbina (Hydro Catalyst), Citlali (Cryo Catalyst), and a rerunning Raiden Shogun. The tier list this patch is a Cryo story on top of the same Vaporize / Hyperbloom / Freeze frames that carried 6.6 — nothing was invalidated, just a lot got sharper.
For pure Spiral Abyss clear speed, Sandrone + Citlali + Furina + Zhongli is the standout new comp — melt-adjacent Cryo damage stacks with Hydro amp, no wasted rotations. If you're pulling on this patch, Citlali is the safer investment: she slots into every Cryo/Hydro team from now to the end of the version.
How we tier characters
Every character gets scored on four things Abyss and open-world runs both punish or reward:
- Team fit — how many meta comps she anchors or slots into cleanly.
- Damage ceiling — realistic DPS with her signature weapon and a reasonable artifact set.
- Reaction alignment — Vaporize, Melt, Hyperbloom, Freeze, or Overload — the five reactions that carry endgame.
- Investment tax — constellation and refinement floor before she performs.
S-tier here means "pull in Version 6.7 without regret." A-tier means "excellent, but you already own an alternative." B-tier means "situationally strong; don't pull if C0."

S-tier — the picks that decide the Abyss
Neuvillette stays the strongest single-target Hydro DPS in the game. His pierce damage sidesteps the shield checks Abyss Floor 12 loves to throw, and he's the primary carry in the strongest Furina team this patch.
Raiden Shogun's rerun matters. She anchors Hyperbloom (with Nahida and a Hydro applicator) which is still the highest damage-per-rotation Abyss frame, and she doubles as a battery for other Electro teams. If you missed her original banner, this is the pull.
Furina is universal: any DPS gets a huge damage multiplier from her buff, and her Bond of Life mechanic pairs cleanly with Hydro amplification. If you have to choose between pulling for damage or pulling for Furina, pull Furina.
Citlali is the new S-tier pick. Off-field Cryo Catalyst application that stays up long enough to enable Freeze or Melt without a dedicated on-field slot. She replaces Kaeya in every serious Freeze comp and out-values a lot of older Cryo units in Melt.
Nahida is unchanged from 6.6 — the best Dendro applicator in the game, essential for Hyperbloom teams. If you don't have her yet, wait for her next rerun rather than pulling on 6.7.
A-tier — great, but not urgent
Sandrone is a strong Cryo Claymore DPS, but she's competing with existing on-field picks (Ganyu, Ayaka). Pull her if you don't have a Cryo carry; skip if you do.
Columbina occupies the Hydro Catalyst niche as an amp support — think Kokomi with a damage lean. Excellent, not essential.
Arlecchino remains the best mono-Pyro on-field DPS in the game. If you missed her release banner, she's still a top A-tier for anyone building a Vaporize team.
Kazuha, Zhongli, Xiangling, Bennett — the universal support quartet. Not new, still meta-defining. If you're new to Genshin, these are your first four pulls (Xiangling and Bennett are 4-stars, so build them off the standard banner).
Reaction shortcuts — which team frame to build first
Pick your carry element, then build one of these frames around them:
- Hyperbloom (Dendro + Hydro + Electro) — Nahida + Furina + Raiden + a flex. Highest single-team damage this version.
- Vaporize (Pyro + Hydro) — Arlecchino / Hu Tao + Xingqiu / Yelan + Zhongli + Bennett. Consistent Abyss clear frame.
- Freeze (Cryo + Hydro) — Ayaka / Ganyu / Sandrone + Citlali + Kokomi + Kazuha. Best CC option; slower burst than Vaporize.
- Aggravate (Electro + Dendro) — Alhaitham / Cyno + Nahida + Fischl + Kuki. Excellent second team for the Abyss.
If you're rerolling for 6.7
Sandrone and Columbina are both banner exclusives — you have to pull them in 6.7 or wait for a rerun. Citlali will get a rerun eventually. Raiden reruns roughly once every year. If you're a new account and want the strongest 6.7 experience:
- First 5-star target: Raiden (rerun banner) — she anchors Hyperbloom for years.
- Second target: Furina (standard banner or future rerun) — universal.
- Third target: Nahida (rerun) — Hyperbloom is dead without her.
Skip Sandrone and Columbina unless you already own the picks above. Reroll accounts should aim for a Raiden constellation before committing to a main.
